Pros

- Company parties were fun - On-site fitness center - Health Advocate

Cons

- Benefits are atrocious. Expect to see bills every time you go to the doctor. Hardly anything is covered. - Pay raises and upward mobility is non-existent. The company touts “development” of employees but it’s always the same small group of people. - Nepotism, nepotism, nepotism (see above) - There is an enormous amount of racism (casual and overt) regardless if you are in the field or in the office. If you’re in the field be prepared to hear management (Foremen and Superintendents) drop the hard R and make racist jokes. - Sexual Harassment goes unnoticed and unpunished - Lack of job security. If you aren’t close friends with a BLT or ELT member, you have no job security. People are constantly fired without due cause and without notice (ie, no warnings, write-ups, high performance marks).

Corbins Response

Thank you for taking the time to review Corbins as we feel we can always be making improvements. I do wish you would have brought these concerns up while you were employed here so we could have had a more engaging and hopefully productive conversation. However, as this is a site that many people use to explore their career options, I feel like there are a few things about your review that I would like to address here: • Benefits: The plan you are referring to is an HDHP Health Savings Account Plan. These plans work in a way that you do have to pay out of pocket until hitting your deductible ($1,400) which has been lowered to as low as the federal government will allow. This is also the reason we have such low weekly premiums and even offer incentives (like for not smoking) to make them even lower & give employees HSA money to help offset costs. • Pay raises & mobility: In 2020 over 90% of our employees who had been with us for at least a year received a pay raise. • Harassment: We have a zero tolerance policy for sexual harassment and racism. As someone who works in HR and deals with situations, I can verify that any accusations of any type of harassment are investigated and dealt with to the highest degree. Anti-harassment training is done for all employees, management and non-management. • Nepotism: We have and will continue to promote our hardest working, most valuable teammates and stand by all of our well-deserving leaders. • Development: This is a Core Value of ours and one we put a lot of time and effort into. Just to name a few things; we have an in house apprenticeship program that any of our electricians can apply to go into for free. We offer LinkedIn Learning at no cost to all of our office staff. We have an intensive Leadership training that all of our leaders or leaders in training attend once a month for 6 months. We have a dedicated workforce development team whose sole job is to work on the development and upward mobility of our employees and their skills. I would be happy to discuss your concerns in more detail with you personally. 602-794-6014
