Pros
Corbis has some nice benefits including a free ORCA card. There are also regular office gatherings and team outings. Corbis also encourages employees to volunteer together. The mid-level managers are great to work with and are really trying hard to move Corbis in a positive direction (although the direction changes too often for them to do so). The product (the images and video) are fantastic to work with and the main reason I stay around.
Cons
The staff morale is horrible. People who have worked for Corbis over one year are so beat down by constant change in direction, layoffs, under-staffing and lack of traction on projects that it is impossible for them to feel like they are making an impact. Corbis also makes no money and so layoffs are inevitable when numbers aren't met. If you are a goal-oriented person, working at Corbis will be incredibly painful for you. You will make goals and not be able to reach them because of factors outside of your control. There always seems to be a scapegoat department when goals aren't met and technology and marketing were the targets in 2014. Executive leadership changes yearly as well, which is a big indicator of the volatility of the business.
