Pros

Relaxed remote work environment is nice. There are still some good Core BTS people around. Good place to get your foot in the door, grab some experience as fast as possible, and then find a different job before the Microsoft business unit decides they don't like you.

Cons

Core BTS acquired Blue Chip Consulting Group (go check their reviews here on GlassDoor as well, and understand they are still very accurate) and it swiftly became a reverse acquisition. Microsoft business unit leadership is made up entirely of Blue Chip staff members who are intent on reinstating their "good old boys" club at all costs. This has also bled into ownership of the entire Managed Services division of the organization, which means that you either get in line or get thrown off the bus. In doing this, they have managed to completely shatter everything that the Managed Services team at Core BTS has worked to build up over the course of years in just a few short months. Morale has been at the lowest I've ever seen across the board for months as well. If you have any bad habits, don't expect to be able to kick them while you're working here. Expect them to get worse.

Pros

The benefits were decent and the flexibility was nice. Appreciate the multitude of opportunities to network and travel. Some of the folks are really awesome and helpful.

Cons

Absolute trash at training anyone. Expects green engineers to know 10+ years worth of stuff that Principals would find difficult. If you manage to overcome all that and still make things work, you still get fired because management has an ego and hates seeing someone self taught and a minority succeed. Was set up to fail from the moment I was begrugendly brought on to the team.
