Pros
Best in Class at online performance marketing – working here is the digital equivalent of getting an ivy league education. Everything they do is leading edge and most our publishers/ clients are following our lead. Management is awesome. Employees are put first in everything they do. Flexible schedules – no one really has one as far as I know. Just get your work done culture. If you need to go to the dmv or take your kid to the dr., you just go and get your work done after. Crazy concept for some companies. People are great. Everyone says this everywhere but a lot of this is due to half the hires are referrals (they bonus those generously) and the culture is a “no finger-pointing, just fix it” when things go wrong so you don’t get any of the politicking/ undermining that comes with companies that punish mistakes and make employees feel like it’s everyone for themselves. Flexible career path. I’ve seen several people switch teams so if you want to make an eventual career path change – they definitely support it if you’ve made a good showing in your time there. Amazing new office – on par with anything else I’ve seen (including Google, Facebook and almost as cool as Chiat Day (I mean, that place is pretty hard to touch). Open office, tons of parking, the landing stirp about to open a block away, 90” tv, couches, hammock, etc. Can’t beat a Staples box. Went to (and brought at least one friend to) at least 10 games and concerts last year. That’s not an exaggeration.
Cons
Depending on your department, traditional growth lines may be a challenge as most managers don’t leave (don’t blame them). That said, the company is always growing and new opportunities/ business lines etc. constantly present themselves and hard-workers always have some kind of door open to them. Moreover, most the turnover is because other employers are willing to pay a premium for someone with a couple years under their belt at Core to come show them how to do it. So either way – it works out.
