Pros
Very easy to become indispensable to the corporation by specializing in any one of many proprietary systems. This entails long hours and travel but can be rewarding.
Cons
The warehousing industry is of such a thin margin that maintaining even standard industry practices stretches budgets thin leaving little to reinvest in human potential. Thin margins also mean thin margins for error and with that no way to pick up the slack when things do fall behind. This is not a company with money to venture with.
