Pros

- work autonomy allows for creativity - interesting work, never boring - hybrid work format

Cons

The company uses unlimited PTO scam to steal employee wages. I had an agreement to leave at the end of the month. By company standards of 20 PTO annually, I had ~8 PTO left. I asked to use 4 of those on my last days at the company, was let go of immediate.

We apologize for the misunderstanding of the Core One Leave Policy. Our corporate policy for those that are participating in our unlimited PTO, including Engineering Consultants, is that paid time off hours are not accrued and there is no remaining balance upon termination, resignation or a reduction in force (RIF). Our unlimited PTO program was put in place to promote work life balance and a more flexible environment. For further information and/or clarification please feel free to contact us.

Pros

Gained experience working in a security-focused environment with exposure to classified processes and coordination across teams. Some coworkers were professional and knowledgeable, and the role provided opportunities to develop skills related to access control, compliance, and security operations

Cons

Policies were applied inconsistently among employees, particularly regarding telework and workplace expectations. Communication from management lacked clarity and transparency, especially around key decisions affecting employees. Concerns raised through proper channels were not addressed in a timely or meaningful way. Overall, the work environment felt uneven in how employees were treated.
