Pros
The industry they serve is vital to all communities which gives a sense of meaning to your work. I made a lot of good relationships and learned a lot about the waterworks industry.
Cons
I worked at Core & Main for years. I was a part of a growing team and saw a bright future ahead. That was until I was on the receiving end of verbal abuse and mistrust. I quietly talked HR. They didn't do anything because the person was so loved by senior leadership. I ultimately had to quit to maintain my mental health. Just be cautious about who you trust there. There are some great leaders, but there are others who will use you as a stepping stone.
