Pros

It was a rewarding career providing safety and security for both public and detainees. I enjoyed interaction with all the staff providing me with knowledge to do a great job. Worked all shifts assist in any overtime as requested. Learned CC, casa managers jobs when those staff wasn’t available. Was cross trained in almost every job duty and was asked to join SORT Strategical operation response team.

Cons

Twelve and sixteen hour days and sometimes longer, five or six day a week minimum. But when family issues came up and I was unable to work the twelve and sixteen hour days, I was informed there would be repercussions. The captain on shift said there would be notation made in my file stating that I was uncooperative and refusing to do mandatory overtime.

Pros

CC Uses cutting-edge Technologies, which is good experience for resume building; many of the Teams are collaborative; interesting work and you can believe in company goals.

Cons

Director and Manager level mgmt at corporate here do not provide guidance on projects. There is a lot of turnover on data projects because new employees are thrown into the deep end and then just blamed if results are not as expected. CC really needs more hands-on project oversight. There are also behavioral and anger issues with a couple long-time ppl as well, and this is both exhausting and (sometimes) outright humiliating. They need to treat new people better.
