Pros
I loved my coworkers and floor I worked on. I got consistent praise and bonuses for my hard work throughout my time there. The pay is OK, can make more other places, but the work is better in my opinion. If you plan on continuing in healthcare, starting out at a hospital will give you so much experience. I have seen and done things that some will never experience before entering roles like nursing, PA, MD, etc.
Cons
After transferring to a regional hospital...I would not recommend working at Corewell Health. Working at the bigger hospitals is significantly better. Healthcare is healthcare, and they do struggle with advocating for their employees. Some patients can be so scary, but if there are people there who will support you it makes a huge difference. At the main hospital I had that support, at my regional I did not. I also had issues moving up at Corewell if I did not want to work in the CNA/phlebotomy realm. The corporate level jobs did not want to hire me.
