Pros

Support, Support, Support. I have been in the industry 34.5 years and never worked anywhere that you can call a help desk and reach someone to assist you with your phone, computer, operating system, etc. I don't lose loans to pricing as we are competitive & will not lose deals over pricing. there is always someone out there buying the market with lower rates. Production Support is the best when it comes to scenarios that don't meet the normal guidelines. the underwriting pool, closing pool means there is always someone ready to take the next deal in Q and get it through the system quickly. We have not missed a single CD or had to push a closing date out since 10-2015 when trid went into effect.

Cons

The LoanSoft system is not the greatest I've worked with however the company is constantly working toward improvements.

We are retaining the servicing on 85% of our total loan production (practically all of our non-jumbo loans) so our customers will stay with Cornerstone for a long time. Occasionally we must sell some of our MSR portfolio for liquidity purposes, since we are a non-bank lender.

Pros

None, company does not care about employees

Cons

HR and management will make up lies, show no proof and fire you with no warning. Even when ask for proof of allegation, HR refused to provide as there was none. There is a reason they are now looking for their 3rd mortgage fraud investigator in 6 months time. They also do not believe in raises or annual review, poor 401k match and high cost for family benefits.
