Pros

There are good employees at the lower level, that I respect and have good relationships with.

Cons

The culture is somewhere between not good to toxic. Internal departments constantly feud with eachother. This was caused by the firing of 50-60% of the original workforce of Nvoicepay when Fleetcor took over and rebranded it as Corpay. They shed all the old processes that worked very well for new processes that were poorly thought out. It majorly disrupted the well oiled machine of the company to maximize profits at the expense of the customers and of the employees. They underpay employees and it's nearly impossible to reach HR departments to discuss raises. They call "cost of living" adjustments "merit increases", which is deceitful and inaccurate. And the increases are always below the rate of inflation. And starting salaries are below average to begin with. In 2024 they lost about 40% of their project managers because of poorly crafted process changes that relied on the PMs to improve on them while it disrupted their workflows and caused frustrations. This company cares about their profits more than treating their employees well. Unprofessional behavior from the Directors on average. Swearing during meetings, and constant bickering with each other and employees. I've worked at other companies and seen Directors get fired for far less than this company. I only recommend working at this company if you are desperate for a job and have no other options.

Corpay Response

At Corpay, we deeply value the feedback from our long-tenured employees, even when it's challenging. We take the concerns raised here seriously and are fully committed to addressing them directly. We understand that the transition from Nvoicepay to Corpay was a challenge, and that some teams were more affected by the process and structural changes. We intended to streamline operations and prepare for growth, but we realize that the pace and execution of these changes caused frustration. Over the past year, we've been actively involving employees in the design of solutions, refining processes, and reducing friction across departments. This approach ensures that improvements are not just disruptive changes, but meaningful enhancements. The points around compensation and HR accessibility are essential to us. We are actively reviewing our compensation philosophy to ensure fairness, competitiveness, and clarity around pay adjustments. It's also clear that our HR communication needs to improve. We are taking steps to increase responsiveness and strengthen support for employees across all regions. We are equally committed to strengthening our culture. We do not tolerate unprofessional behavior, and where we identify gaps in leadership conduct or team dynamics, we address them through training, accountability, and leadership development. Culture is built on respect, collaboration, and trust, and while we have work to do, it remains a top priority. While this review highlights areas where we must continue improving, we are grateful for the candid feedback. It is through perspectives like these that we can evolve, better serve our employees, and build a stronger workplace for the future. We are committed to this journey of improvement and are optimistic about the positive changes ahead.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and for your contributions at Corpay. We appreciate your recognition of the strong work-life balance and management support you experienced. It is valuable to know that aspects of your time here were positive and well-supported. At the same time, we understand how deeply that experience can change when repeated layoffs begin to affect not only teams, but also the leaders and managers employees rely on most. When layoffs feel widespread and disconnected from performance or productivity, it can create a strong sense of instability and uncertainty for everyone who remains. Employees want to believe that hard work, consistency, and contribution matter, and when that connection feels unclear, it can seriously impact morale, trust, and long-term confidence in the organization. Your feedback highlights the significant impact leadership decisions have on the employee experience. Even with a strong team culture, workforce reductions can overshadow daily positives and leave employees feeling unsettled or undervalued. The loss of trusted colleagues can make it challenging to maintain engagement, support, and balance. Thank you for sharing your perspective and advice. Your feedback underscores the importance of employees feeling heard and respected during major decisions. It also reminds leadership to listen closely to those closest to the work and culture.
