Cortland Response
8yThank you for your feedback. We don’t shy away from taking public responsibility when we make mistakes, but in this case, we have done right by you. While I understand and respect your frustration, I have the responsibility to set the record straight – our hiring and firing decisions are not made based on generation. Instead, we make those decisions based on each individual’s capability to understand, live, and perform well in our culture. You were clearly unhappy in your role, didn’t demonstrate our values in your day-to-day work, and ultimately made some bad decisions that affected your team. Yes, we work a lot of hours – we have never claimed to be different – but our growth comes from hard work and teamwork. We also welcome when associates want to explore other career opportunities or have innovative ideas; however, there is an appropriate way to go about both of those things, and you haven’t done either in a collaborative or respectful manner. So while I understand your point of view, I disagree with your assessment. I’m sorry we were not the best fit for you and vice versa. Best of luck in your future endeavors.
