Pros

The Starbucks coffee machine was nice, and I enjoyed our company sales rallies every quarter.

Cons

This company doesn't know what work-life balance means at all. We would work 9 days in a row and have two days off that weren't even consecutive. The company finally changed its commission scale once their turnover rate grew. We would get threatened that our commission would get taken away due to OSAT (overall satisfaction of residents) scores being low, which has a lot to do with poor management and crappy apartments.

Hey, there! Thank you for taking the time to express your thoughts. We’re glad you enjoyed the perks and sense of community while working with us. At Cortland, we work to provide a solid work-life balance for our associates; however, creating a top-notch resident experience is one of our priorities, which can mean longer hours. We encourage all associate to speak with their supervisor about any scheduling conflicts or concerns. Regarding OSAT scores – they are only a partial factor of calculating commissions and impact just a couple positions. Generally, commissions would never be completely taken away simply due to low OSATs. We value your feedback and wish you the best in your future endeavors! – Jonathan Tucker, EVP of Operations & Facilities
