Pros

You work with technical experts and you're encouraged to become an expert. We use latest/greatest practices and technologies and are encouraged to learn them. The most legit claim to Agile, DevOps, & XP buzzwords that I have come across at a large corporation. Good pay, good benefits, good work environment. The "Labs" teams do an amazing job of hiring good people that are nice to work with. There is an impressive combination of pointing out problems WHILE maintaining a positive attitude and sense of ownership. By this I mean: those of us that think things can be better, we are empowered and encouraged to execute improvements. It's not perfect, but even when improvements aren't immediate, we see a path forward.

Cons

I paint a pretty rosie picture and it is. There can be pain in transition sometimes, but I think that's the nature of changing technologies and improvement - it's not "comfortable" There are facts of a great workplace like this that are unavoidable. Pair programming, in-person, with good people, requires that you are in the office together. That means almost no remote work(from home). Pairing means you don't have your "own" space where you put up photos of the kids next to your Swingline stapler. This is a tough pill for old school devs used to traditional environments. I, personally, have found it great for my personal/professional improvement.

Pros

Excellent culture with genuinely supportive and collaborative teammates. Leadership has a clear vision for the future, and there is a strong focus on innovation and customer value. I've been impressed by the professionalism of the onboarding process, the willingness of people across the organization to help, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. It feels like a company that is investing in both its people and its products.

Cons

As with any organization going through transformation and growth, there are opportunities to continue streamlining processes and improving cross functional communication. The positive part is that the teams are receptive to feedback and committed to continuous improvement.

Pros

Camp L.I.F.T. is an incredible example of how Cotality brings its values to life through community impact and innovation. The program creates a meaningful opportunity to give back by inspiring young students to explore STEM, financial literacy, and leadership, while also fostering strong collaboration across teams and partners such as Foot Locker, Octane, ISACA, Google, and Cognizant. It’s truly energizing to be part of something that not only makes a difference for students, but also builds a strong sense of purpose and pride among employees.

Cons

There are very few downsides to the experience—if anything, the week goes by too quickly and it’s hard to choose which activities or sessions to be part of because there are so many great moments happening at once.
