Pros
I started my career at Cotopaxi with little to no experience in my role. After 3 years, I left with friends and colleagues in other continents, with a new vision for my career, and an insatiable desire to genuinely Do Good. - Innovation and creativity at its finest. At Cotopaxi the sky is the limit. The beautiful thing about working for a start-up is that nothing is figured out, so you have a huge opportunity to build something from scratch, own it, develop it, and take it to the next level. There was never a time when my boss said No to an idea I'd come up with. Some were feasible, others impossible, and others were just for fun, but having an innovative and creative spirit is encouraged, supported, and celebrated. - The culture is wonderful. What I loved the most about the team is how collaborative everyone was, at all times. One could be in the busiest time of the day, but if someone else needs help to unload a truck with groceries for our kitchen, you have this immediate urge to go help. That's how supportive and caring the CotoFam is. -A real purpose. I was part of many of Cotopaxi's true efforts to alleviate poverty. I participated in community events, donations, COVID-help actions, and I could see first hand how Cotopaxi wanted to use its supply chain to create a positive impact. If you want a job with purpose, work for Cotopaxi.
Cons
- Less than industry average pay - Cotopaxi's growth rate is astronomical (a good thing), which made it almost impossible to enjoy In the wild time (a bad thing), especially if you are part of a small team.
