I originally applied for this job because I'm passionate about working with the elderly. I figured such a large/successful company would have decent staff members I'd be able to connect and enjoy working with. Despite how hard I worked and how true I remained to the work ethic I've always had, two girls, who apparently no longer wanted to work with me, got together and managed to come up with enough lies to have me fired. Proof was clearly not a requirement to accusations made against another employee.
I've never been let go from a job, let alone let go for lies. When I tried to reach out to the supervisor in an attempt to better understand, in more detail, what I'd done that was worth firing me over, she couldn't take 5 minutes out of her day to get back to me. To make it worse, the email I sent her was well thought out, very respectful and not at all defensive in any way. Meanwhile, during the time I worked there, I wasn't given any signs that I had done anything wrong, up to the very minute I was let go. I've never felt more disrespected by an employer and coworkers in my life. These were supposed to be adult women I was working with and sadly their actions were those of children.
Unless you enjoy feeling like you're doing a good job only to discover you've been lied and talked about for weeks, I'd highly suggest applying to a completely different company. The hourly pay isn't nearly enough for the perfection that's expected of you and should you happen to get on a coworker's bad side, it's become apparent they have the ability to get you fired without a shred of evidence.
I absolutely plan on staying in this career field, but I will never again recommend Country Meadows to anyone as a place of employment. As a native of this town, I'm sincerely saddened by how situations are addressed by this company.
