This was a very bad move for me - Truck Driver Cowan Systems Employee Review

The Equipment is horrible dirty you have to Clean out a truck every day because of the trash that's left in it from the previous driver after you find a truck that safe to drive . They give you a list of 5 or 6 trucks for you to go look at and fine which one is working that's not trucking that's madness . The dispatchers are rude they think you work for them just a very badd experience personally and the money is bottom line. When driver told me don't leave a good job to come to Cowan systems that was true . One of the things that they told me that was spot on that this is the place where retired truck drivers go when they don't want to sit home to work . I work there a little over 2 months in 90% of the time it was a struggle for me to stay there Period of my life anything that you agree to and don't agree to before you start get it in writing..

Thank you for giving us your feedback. I’d like to address some of the issues that you mentioned. We’re very proud of our equipment and work hard to keep our trucks well maintained. We ask our drivers to treat the trucks with care and most of them are great with this. But, if a tractor is dirty from a previous driver or if a driver finds a problem during his pre-trip, they are asked to notify their Fleet Manager so the issue can be taken care of right away. This helps us to address problems so they won’t be repeated and it helps us to stay on top of things and keep our trucks in great shape. Again, most of our drivers are really great with this. Regarding the dispatchers, we take feedback from our drivers as a gift and use it to keep our terminals working well. We typically receive good feedback on our Fleet Managers and we will use this review to make our staff even better. We also have a Driver Relations team that is available to our drivers to receive feedback. We provide these communication channels because of how important employee feedback is to us. We have the best drivers around and we want to keep them happy. Thank you again for your comment and all the best in your future endeavors!

Home Time Is Reliable ,Easy Work (No-Touch Freight).

Cons

There is no overtime pay, and the benefits package is limited. Drivers are often required to work 60–70 hours per week at straight time. Routes are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, so there is little predictability—you typically don’t know your route until the start of your shift. The equipment is equipped with radar-based safety systems, including speed control and automatic emergency braking, which can be restrictive and take time to adjust to, contributing to a more stressful driving experience.
