      Cons

      Due to the recession and cut backs, many talented employees were laid off. Very difficult to do your job. Cowlitz County has not recovered from the recession.

      Cowlitz County offers solid rate of pay and good benefits.

      Cons

      Health Department leadership is demoralizing - employee opinion does not count, and potential and goals are not considered. Be a good little robot and you will be fine. Use your brain and heart for other endeavors.
