Turn over rate and attitude of incoming candidates at high levels in this field (BCBA's ...as well as entry level BT's.). often times noticing that individuals are viewing this position as just any other job. It's not. we are directly working with people who need our help and rely on our consistency and work ethic. Sadly, I'm disappointed in individuals who come in here and don't realize the work that it takes to help our clients succeed and the commitment necessary to any job really. However, at the level of a supervisor, the desk is not where we should aspire to be. a typical 8 hour shift is not what our field looks like. Work Life Balance???? we all want that. Go to work...do what it takes to do your job well and then go home for your Life balance......don't expect your jobs to provide that. we get into this job for the heart of it, not always for the money....so those of you upset about compensation of helping the autism community out....go talk to the very under paid teachers who get zero support in their school districts. Just wish candidates would stop blaming the companies and focus on the work. your company will recognize you if you are in it for the right reasons.
