if you are new to ABA (entry level job), my experience was that the initial training was not enough to know how to do your job. It seems as if you are thrown into working with clients without the knowledge, training, and safeguards to do so. Seems like they are doing this to spend as little money as possible on training and make sure they can get money from clients ASAP even if services provided are not good. Supervisors and case managers are sent out to train you for when you start new cases, but their 2 overlaps are sometimes not enough to learn about a client and then they are too busy managing their crazy caseloads to help everyone in need.
They do have ongoing optional trainings that are very specific each month, but I did not think this was enough when initially starting the job as a behavior therapist.
It does seem like they are trying to improve, like getting more activities for the clinic and making client information sheets, but this is not enough
