Kick a man while he's down - Tech Support Representative Credit Acceptance Employee Review

HR has too much power in tbis company. When it comes to reprimands like action plans, write ups, coaching, etc your direct supervisor and their supervisor have almost no power. Instead, those are in the hands of HR who don't know you personally. They make decisions by looking at numbers on a spread sheet. They are very robotic and were unwilling to understand reason. My supervisors would explain why I had a bad month with calls per hour. It was a slow month, plus I worked the night shift, which made call volume even less. For the record, calls per hour is calculated with Calls taken for the day divided by hours worked. Guess what? If you had a meeting or a Coaching, those actually hurt your calls per hour! Needless to say, HR would not listen to reason and would apply sanction after sanction, despite a lot of what was happening being out of my hands. My sup promised, "Oh don't worry, your job is safe. It's safe" after each sanction u til one day they decide to let me go, then send an email and announce it to the entire department. When you do well, they treat you well. When you have trouble or hit a rough spot, they will continue to kick you and apply pressure while you are down, they do NOT help you back up.
