Pros

- Since starting at Crew, the environment was a high priority for me. They provide a rich, safe, and morally upright culture that benefits its employees. They emphasize seeking to treat each other with the utmost respect and kindness. If any are found lacking, it's not overlooked. Employees are free to share with upper management any behavior that causes the job to feel unsafe, uncomfortable, or disrespectful within a reasonable cause. - I personally also love the social aspect of the job. It connects with the culture some, but it's one of the most socially fun jobs I've ever worked. I get to form close relationships with my bosses, co-workers, and even some of my community with the customers that drive through. Thankfully, the team members I've gotten to work with share in that intentionality and friendliness. We've shared struggles, fun memories, and even deeper thoughts about life and meaning. That matters to me in a workplace. If it matters to you too, then this place provides for that need. - Crew also provides a great blend of physical labor and administration work for management. I personally hate the thought of sitting at a computer for 8 or more hours typing away. If you love being on your feet, socializing, getting dirty at times, and working on some computer tasks, then this is a fantastic place to do that. The physical labor isn't overbearing, but it's tiring at times. - Crew thrives in training as well. The training they provide is clear, precise, and thorough. I love the dynamic of discipleship-like teaching that is embedded within the workplace. A lot of coaching, feedback, and observational reports are given to ensure the job is being done well. As a manager, a lot of my training has been side by side with my bosses, and that helps me learn maintenance things I never knew before. This bleeds into the rest of the workplace too. I'm free to ask for help from my associates and they learn side by side like I have, and that can form some cherishing memories. They continue to push and encourage growth no matter what position you're in. Therefore, if you desire clear expectations and people who push you on, then this is the place for you. - Crew is very flexible as well. Requesting time off is very easy and understandable. Most if not all my time away is easily covered and doesn't have any issues. In management in can be a little tricky, but the system isn't too complicated. For the most part, as long as required hours are hit, they work with your schedule very well. If you desire flexibility, this is a good place.

Cons

While Crew has a lot of positives and highlights, there's always room for growth.... - Close on Sunday!!! Crew is a nonstop, engaging, and fast pace environment at times. Whereas they have flexibility, there isn't much of an emphasis on rest. As a Christian, I think this is something that God requires for us so that we can do the work he's called us to effectively and rest in Him. I'm speaking from the management realm, and I have no idea about any of the upper positions, but I'd imagine it gets worse the further you move up. I don't think they mean to do this, but they can almost encourage an environment of workaholism. If not careful, Crew can easily become your life. Receiving emails on your phone while at home, receiving messages through text while off work, being required to work more than 40 hours a week, and having to work on weekends, the path to burnout can come quickly if not carefully monitored. As with operating hours, they close on major holidays and that's about it. I find it to be a negative that Crew doesn't mimic their customer service cousin, Chick Fil A, with closing on Sunday. Chick Fil A is in a harder position to do so and arguably are suffering more financially from this decision. I think this would benefit Crew Carwash highly with giving rest to their employees, customers, and machines for just one day every week. I think they by far have the means and capabilities of doing so, yet they choose not to. This all adds to the con of work/life balance, so if this is something you desire, this place can be a struggle at times. - Crew has a very high standard of cleanliness, operational excellence, and behavior. While that's a good thing inherently, sometimes it can feel a bit too stiff depending on who you're working with. The amount of tiny detail things that you can be coached on seems ridiculous to me. For example, employees are required to make goals toward how many Unlimited passes they want to sell, which is great. However, if this paper isn't filled out consistently, there can be negative consequences. I've almost received a coaching that's right below a termination for having a consistent problem of putting a number on a piece of paper that has no negative consequence for the future. Compared to the amount of other miscellaneous responsibilities one has, this falls to the bottom of the list of importance for me. Albeit there are second chances, and it depends on who you work with, but sometimes this gets to be too much. Sometimes my brain can melt at the amount of tiny details you have to cover and remember. If detail orientation is something your comfortable with, kudos to you, but if not, this'll be a tough place to work.

Pros

Some things I truly enjoy about crew is the growth you’re able to make within the company. I started as a full time associate, now I’m a shift manager looking into going into maintenance. Theres a lot of opportunities here within the company you just need the opportunity.

Cons

Very strict rules and guidelines for nonsensical acts. I don’t want to be nit picky or anything what so ever and i understand that we want to be profitable and hold each other accountable. But one thing I would like to see change in is easing the restrictions along personal promotion when service advising. Does the CFM work and are we profitable, yes but almost all of my associates here at my location feel like robots and it’s undermining how they feel just to be profitable.
