I’m a a current college student and left a job of 3 years to come to Crew after being referred by a friend and it was honestly the worst place I have ever worked. I am a pretty outgoing person so connecting with customers comes easy to me and I also tried to make friends and be kind to my fellow associates. However, management was so strict on so many things, even the size of my earrings and my hair tie. At the end of my time working there I felt like the second I walked onto the property they kept a list of what I had done wrong since I got there. They try to paint a picture of it being super fun and positive but after awhile of working there I got disillusioned to that and honestly did not feel valued at all as an employee and instead felt like a number. It feels like all they care about is sales and getting more money. If you don’t feel comfortable doing what feels like shoving information down peoples throats or the thought of promoting offers like a used car salesman, don’t work here. The pressure they put on you to sell and promote gets to be way too much and is honestly exhausting mentally and emotionally. The worst part for me was that they displayed the “leaderboard” on the wall which was printed out and they would highlight who was at the bottom and who was at the top, which is small but discouraging when everyone can see it. If you are at the bottom for too long the management will talk about you and probably meet with you which just puts more pressure on you. Not to mention the blatant favoritism that is shown by management as well.
