Pros

Pay is good. Benefits are nice.

Cons

The work environment is toxic. Fellow employees that are not your superior are encouraged to review your work with the soul goal of finding errors. Errors are not reviewed with the actual employee but, a public staff meeting. It is humiliating and demoralizing. Your not part of a team. You walk on eggshells. Employees are encouraged to find deficiencies in people's work daily. Working under a microscope creates anxiety. Employees are asked to keep the work place as silent as possible. Bizarre high anxiety toxic atmosphere.

Pros

Hybrid capability after 6 months. I was never offered it, but I heard great things about this perk.

Cons

The interview process was incredibly rushed and, in hindsight, I realize now that they were searching for someone with a pulse. Couldn't negotiate for even $1/hour. I emphasized that I had no experience working in Benefits and was told that I would be trained until I was comfortable. Training consisted of asking the only senior team member questions as they arose. Supervisor would then mark up and criticize work such as benefit guides or COBRA letters, but offer no genuine pathway to success. There was never any regular training implemented. Routinely told to "Get it right next time." I was amazed at how massive and successful this organization is, yet they've invested so little in training new team members. The culture is very resistant to change with inclusivity being an ongoing battle. Benefits is isolated from the other departments in a way that is almost amusing. There is a certain mystique about the department. The CEO seems very superficial and optics-driven. I can recall receiving a company-wide email where he spoke of wanting strong representation at a 5K event outside of normal operating hours. He promised chips and salsa to any employee who participated. Workflow was herky-jerky and inconsistent. Almost every assignment fell from the sky with a deadline that was often laughable.
