Pros
The people are friendly overall, and the pay is very good. Opportunities to travel.
Cons
Small-town mentality, highly political, poor leadership, mismanagement, lazy employees who have no fear of getting fired, lies and gossip that affect people's jobs and lives. No room for growth, lots of political bull to navigate through, management has zero respect for their employees and are given power due to length of time at company, not based on skill or knowledge. Company is not willing to change or grow in order to accommodate the people they want working for them. No working from home, no flexible hours, no flexibility in attire. People play "favorites," certain groups have more freedom or power than others, all of this goes unmanaged. Instead of being fired you can become hidden away in a corner in an unfulfilling, uncreative position with no respect. Happens to "tenured" employees who can no longer deliver and bad apples, and seems fairly abusive and ineffective as a business strategy. Some of the best thinkers are ignored or talked down to because management has built itself up on who has the biggest stick. Company is stagnating and throwing money at problems, rather than allowing true ideas to flourish. Each group wants their own name on the next "big thing" and are all going down with the ship together by not collaborating.
