Pros
Cruise Automation moved very fast when I was there. I was lucky to see the team I was a part of expand from roughly a dozen individuals to 4-5 times the size by the time I left. The team was fun to work with. The work we did was impactful and it was good seeing progress on development on a day-to-day basis.
Cons
Although Cruise is a big player in this industry, most of the AVT ops team consisted of contractors. Contractors are treated poorly and looked down upon by many of the full-time staff. Rampant disrespect toward contracted team members was prevalent and it negatively affected team morale.
