Pros

healthy food interesting problems huge valuation and prestige from that promising industry and good potential

Cons

you work for a 108 year old automaker the timelines for when AVs come out are unclear and could be 5-10 years. that means no revenue or customers for a long time. very male culture. tiny minority women in engineering. weirdly dismissive meeting culture. ideas are rejected out of hand and the person who raised them, shut down. the predictable result is fear and for me, regret of having joined over other offers i was considering. there is no access to other businesses or programs to be able to transfer like you could at bigger company there is a feeling of strong indifference by leadership for people. i feel much less valued than i have in my prior companies (including a famous mountain view company) and my performance is the same - good. it seems they know this so maybe it will get better.
