Thanks so much for taking time to give feedback! We love that you love the culture and enjoyed working with your department leadership. I appreciate your candor that it feels like leadership isn't given a chance to make decisions. TBH...The reason you had glowing "pros" for working here was because of that leadership team and their decisions on a weekly basis. Decisions like our bonus program for actually taking time off (who does that??) or around the process to move into more of a product-led growth motion to help more small businesses. The new mission statement took months of work to ensure alignment and it absolutely hit the mark. It wouldn't have without a strong leadership team who gave critical feedback that lead us forward. You're right that we have a strong and experienced leadership team and I'll definitely consider how we can do a better job showing how decisions came to be. You mentioned slightly under market pay so it seems the perfect segue about our leadership's impact. Our Head of People pushed an effort rightsizing our pay from a scrappy startup to a transparent process. This was a specific effort she led to bring us up to market average and you received a pay structure adjustment just a couple months before your post. We utilized a data-driven approach and used Carta's pay tool to look at what the market was paying for every role and tier. We'd need more information about what you are referring to when speaking about data. But we do appreciate the perspective! One of the items that was never accomplished in our previous product department was implementing product analytics - in spite of very large investment on from the company. We're thankful for our new Head of Product who has built out some incredible KPIs for our product team and fully implementing Heap (and Amplitude just for the fun of it!). It's given us a deeper ability to see inside of the application and has given him the ability to always pull the company back to our focus using data. Regarding transparency, our mistake many times is overdoing transparency. We give a monthly update to our team about our metrics and cash burn - very rare in the industry (I'll let the reader decide if this is accurate in their current company).
