Pros

>It's the most altruistic position you'll probably ever have, so if you enjoy helping people, you'll like the work itself. >Depending on the site, the atmosphere is chill. I genuinely looked forward to going to my shifts and hanging out with my work friends. >The pay is great all things considered. There are certain expectations you need to keep up with to stay here, but I've been paid far less to do far more in other jobs. >Free daily Covid test on your shifts. I never thought about it before working here, but it's really a relief to constantly know I'm negative. >Shifts are generally flexible. Even during periods when they're not, you typically get to know your coworkers well and should feel comfortable seeing if they'll switch days with you. >Shifts have a consistent start and end. You always know how long you'll be on site as a specialist. >Most patients are kind, and sometimes you get to know your repeats and have conversations with them. >In my region, higher level employees really do care about you. They'll remember things you tell them about your life outside of work, and when they can they'll help you out beyond what they have to do.

Cons

>Increased risk of catching Covid by nature of the work. Most of my time caught it at least once from the job site. >Lack of communication between Curative staff and Yoh employees and sometimes between Curative upper and lower management. The biggest example is the sheer number of times we were laid off with 0 to 2 days of notice. This was not a local phenomenon. Scroll through the Slack and you'll see a history of this happening in every region. My site lead never knew about the layoffs before I did. And yes, they will still expect two weeks notice from you if you want to quit. >The way middle management treats Yoh employees makes you really feel how close you are to being randomly let go at any given time. >Most sites offer the bare minimum to meet their due diligence toward you. There's no way to store food unless it's room temperature. Most sites require you to use other business's bathrooms. If your site does have a bathroom of its own, it won't have running water so you have to use only hand sanitizer all day and you'll have a thick, sticky layer of it on you by the end of the shift. >It seemed like whoever assigned the trainings didn't consider who was getting them and how often. As a site specialist, you're expected to take some of the same training as the people who sit in offices in California. The upside of the repeated training is that you'll know what you're doing by the time you're in the relevant situation--I've been made to train for rapid PCR tests alone at least five times. >You'll only get any locally mandated PTO. Otherwise, they'll take advantage of you being a contractor to deny you. >During peak testing, you take turns going outside to shout instructions to patients. This is probably over by now, but it's pretty awful when it's below freezing out and all you have are Hot Hands. >A few patients take their bad day out on you no matter how kind you are to them. It's not a great job for the sensitive.

Pros

-Some people in the company will have your back and give you a chance to show your skills -Some of the people here are very helpful(someone a lower level than me who probably should have been my level helped me so much)

Cons

-They promote negative competitions -You get a gift card like once a year and they tax it on your next check -Once we noticed salaried employees should get unlimited PTO across the company's policy; we all banded together- the loophole was to make us all hourly instead of giving us what the company offered for salary employees which they made us salary in 2 weeks after we fought the policy -The company makes many promises to everyone but can't keep it -CNs are what keeps this company afloat yet treated like slums -They hire and promote their friends in a short time while others fight for growth(not related to me but I have seen and heard some of the worse things from people who want to move up in this company. I wouldn't even dare try because they are becoming TOXIC) -They often use a group of their best employees for different things but never reward or promote them
