Pros

I was hired by Curriculum Associates pre-Covid and have been training to present i-Ready content to schools and staff. I have felt extremely supported every step of the way. I appreciate my amazing manager and the entire CA team. My colleagues are just a text or email away to answer any question or to add support. I'd also like to acknowledge the amazing and helpful tech staff who have patiently answered my many calls. CA is generous in their pay structure, and allow us the time to thoroughly train so that we feel confident and prepared. They even send some fun perks to make us feel valued and appreciated. They seem to hire the most positive, kind, and bright individuals I have ever had the opportunity with whom to work. I have learned so many new tech skills such a how to conduct a smooth session via Zoom, and I love the interaction with all my attendees. I feel so honored to help teachers navigate this product and love seeing their excitement when they learn all that this product has to offer to differentiate instruction for their students. CA also prioritizes educating us all on systemic racism and I appreciate the regular meetings to better inform ourselves and to have a voice in the company. I never expected such a fulfilling and fantastic career after my many years in the classroom and I feel so honored and blessed to be a part of this amazing company.

Cons

My only con is that I didn't have the opportunity to use this product with all of my classrooms over the years. The lessons are highly motivating for students (just ask my third-grade grandson), and teachers have a wealth of data, tools, and resources right at their fingertips.

Wow! What a unique experience you’ve had, coming aboard and diving into our (currently) all-virtual space. We are so glad to learn that you continue to feel supported and engaged by your manager and our team. Thank you for being an ambassador for our products, as well as an advocate for our educators and students in the San Diego area. - Shrina

Thank you for sharing this feedback — and for the energy you brought to your time here. It's genuinely great to hear that the people and the professional opportunities stood out to you. Supporting the growth of everyone on our team — including those early in their careers — is something we care about, and it's meaningful to know that showed up in your experience. We appreciate you taking the time to share it.

Pros

Before working at Curriculum Associates, I was an elementary teacher using i-Ready in my classroom for both reading and math. It was such an important resource to me... so much so that I actually remember Googling "how to work for i-Ready" because I wanted to learn more about the company behind it! That eventually led me to the EdTech Fellowship, which gave me the chance to see the corporate side of education after only really knowing the classroom side. I really enjoyed the fellowship and knew pretty quickly that I wanted to stay at CA if there was ever an opportunity. I’ve now been here for almost two years and have had the unique experience of being in the fellowship, a temporary role, and now a full-time role. I’ve truly had a great experience in each stage and have felt supported as I’ve continued to grow and learn. One thing I really appreciate about CA is how mission-aligned people are. As someone who has been both a teacher using the product and now an employee working behind the scenes, I can say that people here care about supporting teachers and students. That shared purpose makes the work feel meaningful and makes it easy to feel connected to the people around you!!

Cons

The transition from teaching into the corporate world can come with a learning curve (which I think the Ed Tech Fellowship really helped with!)

Thank you so much for sharing this. It’s especially meaningful to hear from someone who first experienced i-Ready in the classroom and later joined the team through the EdTech Fellowship. We’re so glad to hear you’ve felt supported throughout each stage of your journey at Curriculum Associates. Knowing that the mission and care for teachers and students has felt genuine both inside and outside the classroom means a lot to us. We also appreciate you mentioning the transition from teaching into the corporate world. That shift can definitely come with a learning curve, and we’re glad the fellowship helped make it feel more approachable. Thank you again for sharing your experience and for being part of the team!
