Pros

You are pretty much left on your own

Cons

So many things can be said.... So little time and space.... It is a drudgery; reduced to the machine- answering calls non stop it they keep coming; most clients don't even bother to thank you at the end of the session, just hang up, LEEP most of the time not put together, hard of hearing, not well-rounded, unfamiliar even with most basic concepts- you need to repeat the same things over and over. Basically you are frustrated most of the time with the poor quality of connection and /or clients/ LEEP not bothering to speak directly to speaker/receiver. A lot of clients are limited English proficiency and nasty customer service rep who are passive -aggressive or openly aggressive. And for all of it, and so much more, you get about minimum wage, the highest deductible insurance plan, that is practically useless, micromanaged environment where they try to control your every movement: can't hang bags on the chair, can't take shoes off, can't keep any paper on the desk, even if leaving for a moment. You are reduced to a machine, it's not even an exaggeration. And it's a dead end job for sure. The list goes on and on...... Turnover is super high; people stay there only until they find something better or are in transition.

Pros

In all of my professional career, the IT work here is the most laid back I have ever been with. Sadly, the fun was short-lived after we were sold out when the company was acquired by its rival Propio. They laid off the entire IT folks, dismantling this competition, retaining only less than ten from the whole organization. But it was a pleasure while it lasted. Too bad because their folks were easy going and management is mediocre but I learned a lot, plus it was what I needed in my situation, where I had to multitask working while taking care of personal matters, so it was a bonus.

Cons

Nothing really complicates my tenure here except some projects are really slow in implementation, lacking clear requirements and at some point I was shoved into something where there was really no discussion at all about a project and you just have to dig into it but I have experience so it was no sweat for me at all. There was also a point where I heard a lie about a project being complete but when I started working on it I just realized it was not even started at all and the other is not even deployed or existing so there you go I just had to keep silent and work on completing it. Plus Propio conned us by giving us false hope into thinking we get severance pay but it is not really severance pay instead they just tapped into the our state unemployment benefit and made it look like it is a severance pay. Unemployment benefit is not severance pay.
