Pros

They trust you to do your work. If you are motivated to take on more clients they will give you more clients. Reimbursed for mileage, though not that much. Friendly owner.

Cons

A lot of driving around. Some clients are not very compliant or really want to improve their life. The biggest hurdle to client improvement is often the family and family system. Turning in your time cards can be a pain. The pay isn't enough to survive in the Bay Area

We apologize for any inconveniences we may have caused you in 2015. But, as you know, this job requires a lot of patience since you were assisting adults with developmental disabilities. We really appreciate your time here with us. Since 2015, we have given pay increases across the board. We have also implemented a better system for submitting time sheets. The driving is situational, since we cater to the needs of our clients. But, we generally only allow driving up to 10 miles a day. Also, our Service Coordinators have a supervision schedule where they visit the clients homes regularly to check in and give support. We really appreciate your feedback and your opinion is highly valued. Your perspective makes us aware of what we need to work on and helps us figure out how to better support our employees. Thanks again :)

Pros

The daily challenges only get you better and stronger.

Cons

I think employees deserve more than what we're getting right now. The job is heavy, needs a lot of physical work, and also needs a lot of patience! Sometimes we work 16 hours a day, and it's exhausting! We don't get anything else except for the minimum hourly pay, not even appreciation or a thank you.
