Pros

I've got to say that one of the things that I loved at DBS Interactive were most of the people that I worked with. We all went through a lot while we were there and we would come together in solidarity to help cope with the unrealistic workload, and unreasonable expectations. We all felt close, like a family.

Cons

There's just too many reasons why I wouldn't work here again. In my opinion, management was lackadaisical. During my time there the turnover was incredibly high. It felt like there wasn't any structure for success there, so no matter what you would do, your projects would fall short. In my opinion, the problems were related to unrealistic timelines, unreasonable expectations, lack of true leadership, lack of accountability with management, lack of honesty to employees... the list could go on. From what I understand, there have been many who have started, realized they could improve the company and have poured their souls into helping mend the broken system. But in every case, they got burned out and end up quitting, restarting the cycle again. I was always optimistic about positive change, but eventually, I and many others became hopeless and helpless working there.

Pros

• It's a lean company, so you will likely collaborate with coworkers in many different roles and learn a ton about B2B digital marketing • You gain a lot of knowledge about interesting clients and how their business and industry works • There are tremendous professional growth opportunities, no matter which position you're hired for • Empathy, inclusion, and fairness are pillar values from the top down • Managers truly care and work diligently to support their teams and keep clients happy • The company is very serious about upholding its integrity, being accountable, and delivering results for clients

Cons

• An agency this size is not suitable for people who aren't self-starters, don't learn on their own time, or require regimented work schedules • People who struggle with anxiety may find it challenging to succeed in a fast-paced agency that's expected to meet deadlines • It can be difficult not to take it personally when clients reject your work or don't agree with your point of view

Pros

Incredibly talented coworkers with deep knowledge of their fields As a leaner company, they can quickly pivot to new ideas/practices. DBS is always striving to improve and iterate on their latest success. Opportunities to work on multiple projects and pick up new skills. Management is easily accessible and willing to listen to feedback. I've had some great conversations with the CEO and General manager. They listened to my concerns and I could see change almost immediately after our discussions.

Cons

Love it or hate it, DBS is like a family. Meetings can get heated as opinions and ideas are shared, but at the end of the day we all know we're on the same team and disagreements are put aside quickly. Some roles may require wearing multiple hats. There are some issues with disorganization in project management and communication, it can be stressful making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
