Pros

Good salary, 401K, benefits. Company cares about “feelings” (maybe too much) Tries to show the community they mean well.

Cons

They operate very loosely, very weak O&M. Rather than creating a good operating procedure, the company is just focusing on putting “technology” everyone without a good game plan of what value it will bring (wastes $$$). An unusually high amount of under qualified staff in the name of diversity. The incompetence shows. They act like they are a Tech company, but it’s far from the case.

As DCP’s Chief Human Resources Officer, I wanted to thank you for your feedback. Since 2015 we’ve been transforming our company with a vision to be the safest, most reliable, low-cost midstream service provider, sustainable in any environment. Transformation isn’t easy. We expected some bumps in the road and we’ve learned it involves our people, our processes and our technology – and people are the most important part. We’re recognized as a transformation leader in our industry and know we wouldn’t be where we are today without the hard work and commitment of our entire team. Our technology investments and our talented people are helping us weather the unprecedented pandemic and economic downturn amazingly well. Our people continue to drive our transformation, and our cultural values of Trust and Connect foundationally support a vibrant and inclusive work environment. In addition to investing in technology, we launched a Workforce of Today initiative focused on multi-skilling our Operations employees. We strive to hire and attract the best and the brightest to our company and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of their race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. As a testament to our culture, recently, 70+ volunteers from across the company volunteered to serve on company-wide inclusive committee focused on creating equity and belonging for everyone, everywhere. I couldn’t be prouder of our team. On the Operations front, we’ve streamlined our business into two primary value chains to leverage best practice operating procedures and processes and create efficiencies. We’re seeing some great results in our recent GIS Initiative, which streamlined the way new pipeline information is communicated from our Operations team to our GIS team. We constantly focus on ways to improve and continue to evolve our company, our operations, and the training and hiring of our people, striving to be the best we can be.
