Too many!!! Very unrealistic expectations for perfection after it takes over a month to go through training and even start on the first loan. Very large learning curve. Micromanaging and continual reprimanding on a daily basis for little things that normal managers wouldn't even think to address. The builder runs the show and the mortgage company is the doormat. Very low pay for the amount of work required and time taken to do so. Plan on working 12 hour days and not having a weekend. Company phone provided so you carry 2 phones around at all times. The amount of pressure is unreal to not only carry the workload but do it with perfection. I've never experienced anything like it. LO's are basically processors and underwriters with a LO license. The builder hires new sales agents but don't train them so it's your job to make sure they do their job correctly. LO's get QC hits for sales agent, processor and closer mistakes. LOs are responsible for every single thing that happens. Because they make the big bucks. Um no. .30-.40 bps is not big bucks. Oh you can make big bucks if you work 12 hour days 7 days a week and close over 20 loans per month, Good luck!
