Severely understaffed so vacations and time off must be planned a year in advance. Very underpaid for the cost of living in Austin Tx, and underappreciated by the company as a whole. The other departments are rude and inconsiderate to time restrictions. Mandatory overtime occasionally. Appraisers that you work with can be very mean and incredibly difficult to work with—lots of separation between this department and the rest of the company. Builders are not responsive making reports late and you will be blamed. Sick political mindset and nobody will own up to mistakes - you will be blamed for everything. Employees who have been at the company longer have a preference on time off. Only 2 weeks are provided and are accumulated over the course of the year so during your first year you cannot actually use any (6 months = 1 week off). "family" culture is toxic and new employees are treated poorly. Compensation does not follow inflation. If someone from your team takes off, you are expected to keep up with not only your workload but theirs aswell.
