Good company till you get past a certain age - Vice President Operations DHL Global Forwarding, Freight Employee Review

Many of my colleagues approx my same age (58-60) found themselves on the street about the same time as me. Interesting how employees that have stellar reviews, have done nothing but crushed budgets and expectations all found themselves out looking for work. What did we find was the common denominator?? Age and longevity (higher salaries). Severance packages are average. No effort to assist in relocating to another position or sister organization (DHL Express, etc...) After trying for 6 months, I moved on.
