Pros

-Good location. -Decent pay for the region. (Make sure you negotiate well as that's your pay for all the years to come). -Fun coworkers. -Good experience if you are in the beginning of your career (non clinical) and haven't worked for another company.

Cons

-No raises even if you succeed at what you do causing the environment to be extremely toxic as new hires get higher salary doing less work. You have to apply to a new position in order to get a raise or leave the company and come back at another time to get a higher salary. You also have to beg for it, a lot. Salary is not correctly waged based on experience. -A lot of who knows who in order to advance. Make sure you have a physician as a friend. -Some departments are run without a director. Positions are posted but never filled. -IT seems to be left out compared to other departments in the organization. -PTO is terrible (you use accrued PTO on mandatory holidays or sick days). -No training. Expect to do everything. If a coworker leaves, you will also do their job (with no raises). -No remote option for IT employees that have all the capabilities to work from home without exposing the community during COVID but they have to share one restroom instead after your temperature is checked in the mornings.

Pros

A lot of PTO that’s it

Cons

No holiday differential, no weekend differential, severely short staffed yet management does not approve OT, overworked to the max that burnt out is an understatement you’ll have to do the job of 3 people for the salary of 1, forced to rotate shifts since we are so short staffed so if you work at 5 am one then, the next you’ll be staying up till 5 am because they need you in night shift, no one listens to your concerns, extremely high turnover, absolutely no incentives (no bonus, no raises ever, but you will get $20 gift card if you work Christmas or thanksgiving (thanks, I’m so thankful)). The rumors are true, save yourself and stay far away.
