Steep training curve, but poor training - Lab Assistant DHR Health Employee Review

Pros

The company has a mentality of superiority and pride in itself. They boast and brag, but not much else.

Cons

Outreach pathology boasts of a steep learning curve for entry level applicants, but do not provide commensurate training. New hires are told that management has no time for training, so are expected to learn from others. I was trained by an individual who had been on the job for two weeks prior to my arrival, and another who was great at the job, but reluctant to communicate effectively with new hires. Over all, the environment itself was not bad, but the training was nonexistent.

Pros

A lot of PTO that’s it

Cons

No holiday differential, no weekend differential, severely short staffed yet management does not approve OT, overworked to the max that burnt out is an understatement you’ll have to do the job of 3 people for the salary of 1, forced to rotate shifts since we are so short staffed so if you work at 5 am one then, the next you’ll be staying up till 5 am because they need you in night shift, no one listens to your concerns, extremely high turnover, absolutely no incentives (no bonus, no raises ever, but you will get $20 gift card if you work Christmas or thanksgiving (thanks, I’m so thankful)). The rumors are true, save yourself and stay far away.
