Pros

The Health Plan is best around!!! Employee discounts are good too, with the extra deals than come in the pay checks. Co-workers are great people!

Cons

Poor upper management. Always talking down to the employees and finding fault. Haven forbid you get a complement. The only time you do is when you get metrics on your shift. Told to work on so much stuff that the customers who support the income of Dick's fall short of good customer service. One employee working a large department alone is not fair for the paying customers. They have a hard time finding help when needed, and many may walk out with out saying a thing the the front end coordinator. I just feel the numbers could be a bit better if things were improved.

Pros

Employee Discount Opportunity to provide customers an experience in which they can be confident in buying a new shoe for style, function and support-related reasons. Great selling tools, devices and display fixtures to work with

Cons

This is not really a con since I believe it is an important part of the job. Newer and current workers may need to keep up up to date and do research on products in order to be able to help customers effectively and efficiently.

- Great work culture and supportive team environment - Good experience in customer service and sales - Opportunity to learn about products, inventory, and store operations - Flexible scheduling depending on store needs - Good role for students or early-career workers

Cons

- Can get very busy during weekends, holidays, and back to school season - Standing for long periods can be tiring - Customer interactions can be challenging at times
