Pros

Great people. Aggressive company looking to gain market share and expand it footprint. For a retailer, the work life balance is rather good. If you come through the merchandising training program you have a leg up on jobs and quick movement through company. Outside hires not as much.

Cons

Typical retail environment. Chaos everyday. Once had a clear direction with purpose but as the company has grown, the small issues have become larger ones. If you like a spreadsheet, this is the place for you. If you are under 35 this is a good fit for you, anything above that ....well, you will feel a bit out of place and your thoughts on culture are very different than those not from the same generation. I guess we call that getting older.

Pros

Employee Discount Opportunity to provide customers an experience in which they can be confident in buying a new shoe for style, function and support-related reasons. Great selling tools, devices and display fixtures to work with

Cons

This is not really a con since I believe it is an important part of the job. Newer and current workers may need to keep up up to date and do research on products in order to be able to help customers effectively and efficiently.
