Burn and churn - Senior IT Program Manager DISH Employee Review

Pros

Some of the senior managers are fantastic but are being burnt out quickly. Thirsty Thursday - free beer and wine (after 5pm). Nice break rooms with free tea, cocoa, and coffee.

Cons

Charlie's extensive level of micro-management is ridiculous. The worst 'leader' I've every known. Must be butt in seat and logged in no later than 9am and cannot exit the building before 5pm or you end up on 'Charlie's list'. No, this is not in a call center - this is for everyone. Your overtime doesn't count but be sure you don't leave early without taking PTO. We were forced to treat contractors like crap - and they are the ones instrumental in getting work done. Changing priorities are impossible to keep up with.

It's fantastic to hear that you feel valued through our great pay and good overall benefits package. We work hard to ensure our compensation remains competitive because we truly believe in rewarding our employees for their dedication and hard work. We recognize your point regarding the sales environment and the high pressure associated with upselling. We strive to provide all of our teams with the best training and support possible to meet business goals while still delivering excellent customer experiences. We are continuously looking for ways to refine our sales approach to make it effective yet sustainable and positive for our team members. Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective with us. We value all feedback as it helps us in our ongoing efforts to foster a positive and supportive workplace.

Pros

There's a good opportunity to make GREAT money. Even the base salary is okay.

Cons

I really don't have any. Yes, there are upset people but that's business.
