Pros

Able to work on your own without having somebody follow you around telling you what to do. When you do a good job, customer's usually notice and are thankful. Most of the techs stand up for each other and are willing to help each other out when needed. They don't need to be forced into helping by management.

Cons

Long hours, never know if you are done or not. Extra jobs are pushed on you at the end of the day with little or no compensation or thanks. Quality metrics used to be a good idea and helped weed out poor techs, but in the end as usual, DISH used the metrics to make the jobs harder, and to give them excuses to fire people whether deserved or not. A technician should be allowed to diagnose and solve customer issues without having to worry about selling products to put more money in DISH's pocket.

I really don't have any. Yes, there are upset people but that's business.
