Pros
The thing I enjoy most about DLC is the ability step into senior finance positions and or manage projects across various industries. You often have the ability to come into a new environment, coach existing staff, roll up your selves and really make an impact to the environment. Also, my clients have always been very receptive to recommendations around improvements and best practice; offering a level of empowerment that is not always readily available in traditional permanent type roles. The staff at DLC are also extremely helpful, and from my perspective, have made my transition over to DLC very easy. The team provides a "family environment" where everyone seems genuinely interested in the individual consultant. Often, some fun events are organized to get all consultants together and hear what's happening through out the firm. The flexibility of engagements across multiple industries, coupled with a very competitive compensation structure makes DLC a great place to work.
Cons
Occasionally the distance from the client can make the commute excessive, however, DLC has a very good mileage reimbursement/bonus program to compensate for this.
