Pros
Good work environment, excellent facility, and the company generally tries to provide up to date and quality infrastructure/tools with with to do your job. Above average benefits, though they are starting to decline. A variety of challenging technical tasks and disciplines are available. The company is generally loyal to its employees.
Cons
Extremely limited opportunities for advancement. Pay increases, other than small annual raises, are not usually possible without some sort of position change/promotion (which, as mentioned, can be hard to get). If you can't conform to the Japanese business culture and bureaucratic affinity for minutiae, you will struggle. Management in the Davis location tends to be on the more inexperienced side which leads to a lot of long-term inconsistency while chasing the metric of the month/quarter/etc
