Pros

Base compensation is pretty good. If you are interested in only money and benefits, then this is an OK option. Endless supply of Overtime Opportunities for extra cash. Working in R&D is probably better than work in the Manufacturing Side. Co-Workers seem to have good intentions.

Cons

Turnover is pretty high. There are only a handful of employees on the Manufacturing Side who have been with the company for more than 5 years. Training methods are not standardized or controlled. Combined with the high turnover, training has degraded into a game of Telephone. Production demands also impact training, leaving trainees with less oversight and trainers with higher workloads. Reliance on Extremely Old Software that is either Proprietary or Japanese. Limited skill transfer-ability to USA Companies. Due to poor planning, Overtime opportunities are frequently required if you are working on the machines. Most of the higher managers are Japanese Ex-Pats with noticeably limited English ability. This makes communication very difficult most of the time.

Pros

Good coworkers and liked my team, offers good benefits package

Cons

Known for not giving out pay increases and is known to underpay within the industry, would rather hire a new employee than give a current staff member a raise
