Pros
• Great place to work for a resume boast • PTO/Sick days • relaxed environment
Cons
Honestly don’t look for this place to be a long term experience, just learn what you can and keep your career options open. The company usually sends in current employees from Japan to the United States on a work visa. They sometimes get married, and never return to home to Japan. Which can lead to “chain migration” which is a HUGE problem our country is suffering from. The company stresses the issue that you’ll have to adopt the Japanese work ethics, but all the while you’re not in Japan! You’re in America! So it should be the other way around! The Japanese employees are seemingly afraid of black men, and often don’t socialize with American employees at all, so there’s a slight division. Communication is a huge problem with the language barrier being present, which can lead to a misconception of character. Don’t bother HR with your problems. You’re just a replaceable person, and that’s how you’ll get treated so handle your problems with a clear outlook. Also there’s a atmosphere of anxiety that everyone suffers from, so employees are often paranoid, which can lead to playground like drama. In conclusion just stay focused on the thought of a resume boast. This will NOT be a company you’ll retire from.
