Pros

Generally an okay company to work for, somewhat flexible depending on role, usually understanding of challenges as they arise and getting you help, unless they dont, somewhat disorganized and basically like every other construction management company I've worked for. Selling point is that they self-perform, which sometimes is more of a curse than a blessing, it doesn't necessarily make them more competitive and the older style of them negotiating much of their work is diminishing now that the markets are becoming more competitive.

Cons

The company has changed in the last 5 or 10 years from my experience and understanding, it's become much more corporate. It can be seen and heard in the "messaging" that upper and middle management now preach on a regular basis. The company has become more disorganized as it's grown and there are cliques as usual. It's really not that much different from any other company.

Pros

DPR is an outstanding place to work, with a strong people-first culture that truly sets it apart in the construction industry. The company emphasizes collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement, creating an environment where employees feel valued and supported. Leadership is approachable and transparent, and there’s a genuine commitment to developing individuals both professionally and personally. The work itself is engaging and impactful, especially if you enjoy complex, technical, high-quality projects. DPR empowers its teams with trust and autonomy while still providing the resources needed to succeed. There’s also a strong focus on innovation, safety, and doing things the right way, which makes the work feel meaningful. Overall, it’s a great place to build a career, grow your skill set, and be part of a team that takes pride in what they do.

Cons

Fast-paced environment (construction industry in general) may not be for everyone.
