Pros

Commission based salary lets you work hard to increase your take home pay, instead of getting a flat yearly raise. Some really great people work here, and you get to interact with clients/candidates that are interesting and highly intelligent. Nice office, but I think they’ve since moved.

Cons

Owner & management seemed disconnected from the day to day operations, and decision making often seemed kind of erratic. There’s also a family & friends clique type vibe that may keep others from advancing. Work events revolve around heavy drinking which can lead to awkward situations as a woman.

Pros

Flat structure allows you to reap the full success of your own efforts. Everyone is very helpful and willing to answer questions and offer advice. Very non-threatening environment where you don't feel like you are competing against your co-workers. As the market leader in Actuarial recruitment, it makes recruiting easier when most candidates already know our name and positive reputation. Matching 401K plan is great, and commission structure is pretty good. If you work hard, it definitely pays off here. Hours are flexible and lend to some of the best work life balance I have ever had. Getting paid once a month took a little adjusting, but it actually ends up being really nice and makes organizing expenses easier.

Cons

Sometimes it's a little cold in the office. That's honestly the only con I can think of!
