Pros
Excellent training program Good pay Opportunities for advancement You get to know your patients very well & look forward to seeing them
Cons
Too cheesy for words! Required verbage: we are not a facility, or office. We are "a Village". GAMES are required... To be played during the workday, in front of the patients!!!". You're not allowed to say "Merry Christmas" to a pt, even if they say it to you. First; you must reply "Happy Holidays." The setting is one room, the patients are sitting all around you, and my very immature boss was staring at me thru a glass window, making faces, which was part of his jOB of forced fun in the workplace. Beyond micromanaging- if they could control my thoughts (they tried very hard), they would have! Even the "parties" were required, outside of business hours. No flexibility at all for time off! I was very excited to be hired because I had wanted to learn dialysis, for years. I made a fast U-turn out of there, after 3 months. Immediately after leaving, I bumped into a consultant they hired to help their managers- she said they had a 70% turnover rate!!
